THE COMMON is one of the KICK ASS deep themed late night IMMERSIVE RAVE areas of the Legendary GLASTONBURY FESTIVAL.
There will be more updates and links as the year progresses but rest assured, 2016 will see The Common rise again from the Magikal Somerset grasslands to Set the Rythm of the west country a shaking with its Rituals that conjure up dark, powerful and playful spirits…..

LOGISTICS
I have been site manager for the last 3 years, spending a month of my life building and then striking the field. Organising and working with the site crew. I have also done the site plans, as well as working on the field and venue designs with Steve & Kerry.
MUSIC
I have programmed both The Cave and The Temple for the last 3 years, with Steve. This has seen us bring some of our favourite artists into the venues, as well as some up and coming talent as well. Our Ethos has always been that we want to book artists that we have respected over the years, that have really influenced us through our lives, as well as new, up and coming artists that are bringing something fresh to the dance floor, and then our mates, who might be wicked and really talented musicians and Dj’s, but terrible PR types, who never self promote and dont play professionally, but seriously know how to rock a dance floor. This mix has always brought with it a real honest and raw energy to our parties that feeds directly to the people, creating great atmospheres and vibes that really suport our theory that the only stars you’ll find in The Common will be the Ravers!
DESIGN
My baby though has been the The Temple, the Big Bad Brooding Behemoth thats sits, majestic in the middle of the field, a living breathing corpulent deity, that conducts the sub frequency energy field, and manipulates the ultra atomic spiritual particles of the Somerset countryside through the open hearts & minds of the ravers.
From concept through to design and final delivery, The Temple is the work of a crazed team of dedicated delinquent funDamentalists…sweating cider as they dream and dooodle and push and shove and urge into being real life incarnations of huge pulsating monstrous throbbing mega RAVE VENUES…..This isnt hedonism, and it certainly isn’t spiritual hedonism, and its most definitely not tourist hedonism…..ITS ALL THREE… together, shameless as Frank Gallagher and twice as ugly, the Temple is all it is and nothing more….
